We just didn't chop enough, see.

As I was watching the Rutgers game tonight, I could have sworn I saw a sign alluding to one of Herb's famous bits of coachspeak: "chopping wood." Does Greg Schiano use this phrase too? Sure enough:

Schiano's kept his team focused with his "keep chopping" mantra and that, the Scarlet Knights said, just gets repeated more this week.

Captain Ramel Meekins of Westwood said he'll drag any seemingly-straggling players to "whatever I'm doing." Leonard, another captain, said he'll be saying "keep chopping" and the other motto, "t.b.a." (trust, belief and accountability) till he's hoarse.
